Street art Düsseldorf, Germany – April 2025 | Art Is Trash video

Who is behind Art Is Trash?

This clip from 2025-04-16 shows a street piece by Art Is Trash, the project of Barcelona-based artist Francisco de Pájaro. Since 2009 he has turned rubbish left on the pavement – boxes, bags, mattresses, old furniture – into wild, comic figures painted on the spot. His figures poke fun at throwaway culture, power and the established art world. The works are deliberately short-lived and usually vanish with the next garbage collection.
