Exhibition 2026 – street art Düsseldorf | Art Is Trash

Who is behind Art Is Trash?

This clip from 2026-05-02 shows a street piece by Art Is Trash, the project of Barcelona-based artist Francisco de Pájaro. Since 2009 he has turned rubbish left on the pavement – boxes, bags, mattresses, old furniture – into wild, comic figures painted on the spot. Beyond Barcelona, his trash art has also appeared in cities such as London and New York. That makes every figure a one-off: once the street is cleaned, it is gone, and often only videos like this one remain.
